Roseview aluminium sash windows
Aluminium sash windows combine many of the benefits of both their timber and uPVC
equivalents, particularly the very low maintenance of uPVC windows along with the slim
and elegant profile width of wooden windows. That's why they prove to be the ideal choice
for many applications.
At Roseview we are delighted to manufacture, supply and fit two of the country's leading
aluminium vertical slider systems: Sapa and Comar.
Advantages of aluminium sash windows
- virtually maintenance-free - no more painting!
- as well as sliding vertically, sashes can be tilted (restrictors can be applied if
required)
- much reduced sight lines come from narrow profiles - more glass, less window!
- fully draught-proofed - fixing a major shortcoming of traditional timber sashes
- sashes can be cleaned from inside the building
- wide choice of colour finishes
- much better security than traditional wooden windows - sashes cannot be removed
from the outside
Sapa aluminium sash windows
The Sapa vertical sliding window provides excellent insulation performance. The system is
fully weatherstripped and all component profiles incorporate thermal barriers. What's more,
the system has been designed so that each sash can be released to tilt inwards for easy
glass cleaning - solving an inherent problem with traditional sash windows, especially
above ground level. Each sash can also be completely removed, making for easy glass
replacement if necessary.
Comar aluminium sash windows
Comar aluminium vertical sliding windows provide the assurance of excellent insulation as
a result of Comar's energy efficient thermally broken profiles. With more and more consideration
being given to environmental issues, Comar's system has been designed with energy efficiency
in mind. Made from aluminium - one of the most recyclable building materials - the Comar
system ensures that sustainability issues are alleviated.
The aluminium profiles are made up of three parts: the internal and external profiles are
rolled together with a 22mm polymide thermal break strip. This ensures that buildings are
kept warm in the winter and cool in summer.
This construction method provides an extra design opportunity; the internal and external
profiles can be painted in different colours.
