Secondary double glazing

To complete our sash window range and service, Roseview now supplies aluminium secondary double glazing to the trade, and can also install secondary glazing on commercial projects.

Secondary glazing is useful in situations such as listed buildings where a building's original windows must be kept intact. In these circumstances the only viable way of benefitting from the warmth, energy savings and sound reduction of modern double glazing is to install secondary glazing internally.

Secondary glazing for any window type

To match suit any type of original window, we supply and install the following styles of secondary glazing:

• lift-out - the simplest form of secondary, where panles can be lifted out of their secure channels
• horizontal sliding - best suited for casement windows, the panels slide on nylon skids or steel rollers, depending on their size
• vertical sliding - suitable for sash windows, secondary sashes can be either free-running or balance-assisted
• hinged - best suited to smaller single casement windows, the secondary panels open in
