Case Study - Hotel
Roseview helps Times-recommended hotel
The 16th Century Castle Lodge in Wilton, Ross on Wye, has become the latest premises within a conservation area to feature
Rehau's S719 Heritage vertically sliding window.
The 11-bedroomed hotel whose restaurant was recently recommended in the Sunday Times, is located near to Rehau's own
headquarters. It previously had timber box sash windows fitted, some of which believed to be original. However, these had
deteriorated to such a degree that Carlos Felices, the owner of the hotel, decided to replace them.
He chose PVC-U alternatives fabricated by Roseview Windows for their sound insulating and maintenance free properties
and chose the Heritage vertical slider in particular because its style and detailing replicated the timbers originals so
closely.
Installation of the windows by Roseview was approved by Ross-on-Wye's Heritage officer, who judged that they were the
closest match seen in PVC-U to the original timber sash windows and accepted that they were in keeping with the age and
style of the property.
Carlos Felices is delighted with his investment and with the standard of service he received from Roseview who took into
account his needs of the business by keeping disruption to a minimum during installation. He says: "It is almost impossible
to tell the PVC-U windows from the original. A few of my regulars have commented on how clean the windows look but not one
of them has realised that they are PVC-U and not timber. In the bedrooms in particular, they have considerably improved
comfort levels for our guests."
