We Love What We Do

The thing about being a dedicated sash window manufacturer is that you spend all day, every day, concentrating on one thing – sash windows. To some people, that may sound dull, but for us, it’s a way of life.

We’re not just focused on making and selling top-notch and high-quality uPVC sash windows (though that’s definitely important); when you spend your days striving to make the best, most beautiful, most authentic sash windows you can, you think about heritage, conservation and tradition. And then you add in a healthy dose of modern manufacturing, sustainability, efficiency and logistics. And, finally, you top it off with a focus on customer service. After all, there’s no point making stunning, authentic windows for homes around the country if your customers can’t quote, order, receive and install them with the minimum of fuss.

So while we may be just concentrating on one thing, doing so takes a lot of time, effort and care. Which is just how we like it.

Quality Work - Roseview Windows

Experience matters...

There’s no substitute for experience, and at Roseview, we’ve got plenty.

Established in 1977, we started manufacturing uPVC sash windows in 1985. In fact, we were the first company in the UK (and the world?) to dedicate ourselves to doing so. So when it comes to sash windows, there’s not a lot we haven’t seen or done.

Based in the pretty Buckinghamshire market town of Olney, we’ve been in the same location since the start. But because we keep growing, we have to take over extra factory units next door to our original one. Currently, we have five, and we’re adding more floor space all the time.

…but it’s about the future

Sash windows are a traditional product, and we’re based in a traditional market town. So it would be tempting to think of Roseview as a traditional company.

But we’re not.

We’ve been leading the field for more than 40 years. We were the first company to take the plunge and start manufacturing uPVC sash windows. In 1985 that was a bold move. Not long after, we stopped manufacturing other windows and doors to concentrate solely on sashes.

Since then, we’ve continued to push the market forward. We were the first company to build sash windows from two different systems companies, extending our range and offering windows to cover every part of a growing market. When we went for Secured by Design accreditation, we went all out and tested large windows that could be used in the real world (1400 x 2000mmm) – much larger than the sample windows some other companies tested just so they could say they’d got the certificate.

We didn’t stop there. In 2010, we went to our systems companies and told them that run-through horns would be an essential part of sash windows. At the time, their priorities were different, so we designed and developed our own. It was a risk, but it paid off, as now all the main systems companies have their own version (none are quite as authentic as ours, though!). We did the same thing with mechanical joints, and again, we watched others follow suit.

Tradtion - Roseview Windows

Redefining Tradition

After that, we decided that we could only take the next step towards true timber authenticity if we started developing our own profiles rather than relying on others.

So we did.

Our Ultimate Rose sash window contains several profiles and components designed and tested by us and manufactured exclusively for our use by companies like Rehau and Caldwell. This includes our industry-leading 35mm midrail, deep cill, staff bead and chamber filler solutions, and some exclusive sash gearing and hardware. We even use specialised sealed units with deeper seals that provide a greater bonding area while maintaining shallow-level spacer bar lines.

These are all just more examples of how we’ve moved beyond being a simple fabricator into a full-service manufacturer and leader in our field.

So, we may be making traditional windows in a traditional setting, but we’re far from being a traditional company.
