Roseview at the HBR Show

Frankie – our social media expert – recently worked on the Roseview stand at the national Homebuilding and Renovating Show at the NEC. So, naturally, we asked her to blog about her HBR experience…

We have had an incredibly busy, exciting start to 2019 at Roseview, and part of it has been planning for the Homebuilding and Renovating Show – so we are delighted to say how successful the show was!

The event took place at the NEC in Birmingham from 28th -31st March. It is targeted towards those building or renovating their home, therefore we saw it as perfect opportunity to showcase the Rose Collection sash windows and Incarnation secondary glazing.

It was our first time exhibiting the at HBR; with thousands of products, always a seminar or masterclass going on and lots of weird and wonderful things to see. I, personally, was very excited to explore all there was to offer – if only I had time to leave the stand…

“What? They’re not timber?” was a recurring question among the hundreds of visitors to our stand, with a huge amount of people examining and touching the Ultimate Rose in shock that it is—in fact—uPVC! We even had a couple take one look at the Ultimate Rose, mumble to each “never mind, it’s timber” then walk off before we called back to them to tell them that it’s not.

The Ultimate Rose sash window in Azure blue was the star of the show, drawing in visitors from all angles. You only need to take one look at it to see why; slim sightlines, mechanical joints and other authentic details partnered with a gorgeous eye-catching blue against a lovely stone wall. However, the blue sash window didn’t overshadow the Ultimate Rose on the other side, in matt white against brickwork with lots of new features.

We also had on show our Incarnation secondary glazing suite which was popular among those who were keeping their original windows but wanted to improve efficiency. It was great to get feedback on our products from the people who would choose to have them in their homes; we soaked up every compliment and took on board every detail and comment the visitors made.

We loved how many homeowners and self-builders used our free tickets to come to the show specifically to view the Rose Collection sash windows and secondary glazing in the flesh. Plenty of people came to the stand already knowing their stuff and viewing the products with knowledge and intent. Our team were happy to look at building plans or any photos and advise the best option for each individual project. We also had our fair share of visitors who were keen to know more and who were, in turn, hugely impressed at how authentic a timber alternative sash window could look. We even had some that came to the show specifically for timber sash windows, but left with us in mind as a better alternative.

Thank you to the Roseview team for making the show such a success. If you didn’t manage to catch us at the HBR Show, we’ll be exhibiting at more events in the future and expect that next time we’ll be back and armed with comfier shoes!
