False statements about Roseview's product range
Friday 25th February, 2011
It has come to our attention that a particular company has been contacting Roseview customers and making false allegations about Roseview's product range and our plans to change it.
Apparently this company has been telling our customers that, in 2011, we are planning to discontinue our Rehau and Eurocell/Plastmo ranges, and replace them with a single, inferior system. Co-incidentally, the system that they allege we are changing to is the same system that they now fabricate.
We would like to take this opportunity make it absolutely clear to all our existing and future customers that we have no intention of changing or discontinuing any of our products. In other words, the rumours being spread by our competitor are completely untrue.
We have built our reputation as the UK's leading sash window manufacturer as a result of our stability, reliability and continuity. We have been in business continually - with the same name - for over 30 years. We were the first major fabricator to manufacture uPVC sash windows, and have been making Rehau sash windows right from the start. For many years now we have been the largest fabricator of Rehau sash windows in the country. Several years ago we added the Plastmo and Eurocell sash windows to our product range, and quickly became the largest fabricator of these systems in the UK as well.
Far from thinking about discontinuing our tried, tested and trusted product range, the past 12 months have seen us invest heavily in new machinery and equipment to help us meet the ever-increasing demand for these products. Indeed, in the next few months we'll be announcing exciting new product developments based specifically upon our Rehau, Plastmo and Eurocell sash windows. Quite frankly, given the success of our sash windows over the past 12 months, we would be mad to consider changing them.
We have seen the product that we are alleged to be changing to, and it is very poor. Based on misleading claims about its 'eco' credentials, and using inferior materials and extrusions sourced from the Far East, it is - in our opinion - a pale imitation of the superior Rehau, Plastmo and Eurocell products that we supply.
We are, of course, encouraged that our competitors are resorting to such underhand tactics to try and poach customers from us - it shows that we must be doing something right! However, we would like to make it absolutely clear that we have no intention of changing our product range; it has stood us in good stead for the past 30 years, and we are confident that it will continue to do so for a long time to come.
If you have received a call from this company including the false claims outlined above, we'd love to hear from you. Please contact us through our website or call us on 01234 712657.
Plastmo to discontinue white profile…
Thursday 23rd December, 2010
We have been informed that, from January 2011, Plastmo white profile will be discontinued in favour of the more popular Eurocell white.
Eurocell Profiles Ltd took ownership of Plastmo in 2008, and have planned to merge the Eurocell and Plastmo white profiles for quite some time. The profiles are already exactly the same in every detail except for the precise shade of white used. Although both whites are very close, there is a very slight difference between Plastmo white and Eurocell white.
Currently Eurocell sash windows are only available in white, while Plastmo sash windows are available in white, cream, white foil, rosewood, golden oak and irish oak. After the changeover, Eurocell white will still be available, while the standard white option will be removed from the Plastmo product range.
As a result of Plastmo's announcement we are no longer taking orders for Plastmo white windows. Please note that no other Plastmo or Eurocell quotes or orders are affected by the change.
We anticipate that the vast majority of customers who normally order Plastmo white windows will not be affected by the changeover - the difference in shade between Eurocell and Plastmo is so slight that we don't expect many people to even notice. However, there's a small chance of a problem occuring on split projects, where one portion of a property has been completed using Plastmo white, and where more windows are required that will now be in Eurocell white. Even in these cases, we only anticipate the difference being noticeable when a new Eurocell window is placed directly adjacent to an existing Plastmo version.
In all cases we will, of course, do all we can to assist our customers and answer any questions that may arise from the changeover. In the first instance, please contact our sales team by phone, fax or email - all our contact details are listed on our contact page.
